The family of Winnie Poche' regretfully announces her passing on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at the age of 94. She was a native of Head of Island. Winnie retired from the Ascension Parish School system as a Lunchroom Supervisor at Gonzales High School with 28 years of service. She is survived by her children, Shirley Brecheen, Sylvia Bourque and husband, Murphy "M.J.", Adley J. Poche', Jr. and wife, Laura Nelwyn, and Raymond Poche' and wife, Cynthia; 17 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; and 18 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adley Joseph Poche', Sr.; parents, Lawrence and Mary Brown Aime; grandchildren, Sherri Bourque and Buddy Poche'; eight sisters, Mae Aime, Edna Aime, Bessie Aime Montalbano, Elizabeth Aime Shillings, Emma Aime Moran, Eva Aime Letulle, Jeannet Aime Dunham, and Grace Aime Cannon; and five brothers, Able, Johnny, Lawrence Jr., Dennis, and Emile Aime. Visiting will be at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales on Monday, August 4, 2014 from 5 pm to 9pm. Visiting will resume on Tuesday at St. Mark Catholic Church, Gonzales from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 am. Burial to follow in Prairieville Community Cemetery.
