A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 8, 2014, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Iota, LA, for Harry Paul Orebo, 56, who died at 2:05 p.m., Friday, August 1, 2014, in Lafayette, LA. Fr. Jude Thierry, Pastor of Saint Joseph Catholic Church will celebrate the Mass. The burial will follow in the Saint Joseph Cemetery. Visitation may be observed on Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. The Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Thursday. Harry Paul Orebo was born June 15, 1958, in Lafayette, LA. He entered into eternal peace on Aug. 1, 2014. Harry was preceded in death by his parents Horace and Lula Mae Orebo, and brother First Sgt. Ronnie Orebo. He leaves to cherish his memories a son, Justin Paul; brothers; Russell, Horace (Tina), and twin Larry Paul. Sisters; Bonnie, Barbara (Amos), Sandra (Joe), Pat (Willie), Linda, and Gloria (Henry). He also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Harry was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was employed by the Acadia Parish Police Jury for 19 years as an Equipment Operator. He also enjoyed cutting lawns and was affectionately known as Harry "O". Harry enjoyed the outdoors; hunting, fishing, cooking and camping. He was also very well known for helping anyone in need. Harry had a strong love for his family, especially for his son, "J.P." He enjoyed being around family and friends and looked forward to the annual Easter gathering in the Orebo backyard. Condolences may be sent to the family by www.geesey-ferguson.com.
