Kelly Marie Burns, 39, a resident of Zachary, LA, died on Tuesday, August 5, 2014. She was an employee of A Creative Touch hair salon for seven years. Visitation will be at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc. in Zachary on Friday, August 8, 2014 from 5pm until 8pm and then on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Zachary from 9am until funeral mass at 10am, conducted by Rev. M. Jeffery Bayhi. She is survived by her significant other, Michael Boudreaux; her son, Kip Cole Guidry; her parents, Jackie R. Burns and Olivia S. Burns; and three sisters, Leslie Dawn Burns, Brandy Hannum and her husband Trevor; and Stacey O. Burns. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dot and Gordon Stelly, and Wanda "Micky" Goza, and her cousin Chris Ingram. She was a 1993 graduate of Zachary High School and 1995 graduate of Baton Rouge Beauty College. She enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with her family. She was a loving person and was known for her kindness. She would often go out of her way to give complimentary haircuts to the elderly and infirm.
