Kirk Edward Bazerque passed away Wednesday, August 13, 2014, at the age of 48 following a brief illness. He was a native of Jennings and longtime resident of Baton Rouge where he attended Broadmoor High School. Kirk worked in the food industry as a chef. Kirk was a loving and caring man and a loyal friend, he will be missed by all. He is survived by his mother, Sharon Valencia and a brother, Betrand H. Bazerque VI and an aunt and uncle, J.C. and Cynthia Suire; cousins, Kelly Suire, Nancy and husband David Lee and their son, Noah Lee, Wendy and husband Mark Stackable and children; aunt and uncle, Bill and Annete Duhon and family and a step-mother, Beverly Bazerque. He was preceded in death by his father, Bert Bazerque III and maternal and paternal grandparents. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, starting at 10:00 am until services in the funeral home chapel at 12:00 pm conducted by Rev.
