A native of Baton Rouge, Joseph Daniel "Joey" Cormier passed away on Monday, July 20, 2009. He was 30 and worked as an offshore crane operator. Visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd., on Thursday, July 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 11 a.m. Survived by his son, Ayden Daniel Cormier; mother, Patricia Neames and her husband, Roe; father, Gene Cormier and his wife, Sandi; sister, Shelley Caraway and her husband, Zach; stepsisters, Amanda Neames, and Kristina Cusick and her husband, Brian; stepbrothers, Brandon Neames and his wife, Angela, and Donnie Moutz; grandmothers, Mary Jane Collins and Mary Laine Cormier; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and a nephew. Preceded in death by his grandfathers, Joseph Earle Collins and Daniel Cormier; and best friend, Dwayne Landry. Carrying Joey to his final resting place will be Byron Cormier, Kevin Credeur, BJ Crist, Ryan Fontenot, Alex Gerhold, Elliot Gerhold, Ralph Romaguera and Johnathon Thibodeaux. Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Cormier, Dillon Fontenot, Jim Miller, Ryan Romaguera and Benjamin, Nicholas and Jacob Thibodeaux. We love you, Joey, and will miss you ever so dearly.
