A homemaker and a resident of Baton Rouge, she died at 5:41 p.m. Wednesday, July 15, 2009, at her home. She was 71 and a native of LeMoyen. Visiting at World Shakers Church International on Friday, July 24, from 5 p.m. until religious service at 7 p.m., conducted by Jeffery G. Phillips, pastor. Dismissal at 10 a.m. Saturday. Interment in Southern Memorial Gardens. Survived by her daughters, Avis Harris and Nelwin Johnson; son, Wilbert Harris; sister, Adeline Walker; five grandchildren including a special grandson, Tayari Harris; and 13 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, sister, godparent, aunts and other family. Arrangements by Hall Davis & Son Funeral Service.
