Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death I will fear no evil for you are with me. Your rod and staff, they comfort me. Norman fought a short but fierce battle with pancreatic cancer. On Aug. 10, 2009, he went to be with his Lord and Savior. His love for his family and Jesus gave him a peaceful comfort that was beyond belief. He was a loving husband and an awesome father and a one of a kind paw-paw. He was loved by all who knew him. And we will cherish his memories forever. Norman rededicated his life to God in Baptism on June 27, 2009. He is survived by his wife, Donna Bennett; and five beautiful daughters, Brandi Bennett and Jeremy Cleaver, Dana Bennett and Gary Baham, Kandace Bennett and Christopher Williams, Laurie Bennett and Leigha Bennett. He has seven precious grandchildren who will miss their paw-paw so much, Justice Cleaver, Christiana Williams, Ty'Tiana Williams, Kloie Williams, Trever Jackson, Trinity Bennett and Tobias Bennett. Also survived by a sister, Connie Bennett Dupuy and Stewart Evans; nieces and a nephew, Kriston Dupuy, Erin McLellan Meyn, Lacey Evans and Ian Evans; father, Wayne Bennett; grandmother, Kathleen McKenzie; and multiple family members and friends. Preceded in death by his mother, Doris Bennett; brother, Glynn Bennett; sister, Sheila Evans; grandparents and multiple family members. As he took care of so many here, Jesus chose to take care of him. Our Guardian Angel will watch over us from heaven now and forever. "Never fear, for I am only a thought away." Visiting at Life Tabernacle Church, 9323 Hooper Road, on Thursday, Aug. 13, from 10:30 a.m. until service at 12:30 p.m., conducted by Tony Spell, pastor, and minister Robert Williams. Burial in Blackwater Methodist Cemetery. Special thanks to Hospice in His Care: Pierre, Ersula, DeeDee, Debra, Cathleen and Brenda. Dr. Kantose. Thanks for all your love and compassion. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to help pay for funeral expenses. Arrangements by Miller & Daughter Mortuary, Zachary.
