Winston F. "Wynn" Brown went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2010. He was 66, a native of Zachary and resident of Branson West, Mo. He leaves behind his best friend and Christian wife, Judy R. Brown; two daughters, Vanette Broussard and husband Micah, and Tanyl Curry and husband Josh; three sons, Wynn Shane Brown and wife Carolyn, Brad Brown, and Chance Brown; sister, Alice Blalock and husband Richard; brother, John S. Brown and wife Robin; 11 grandchildren; mother-in-law, Syble Holder; and numerous nieces and nephews. Wynn was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Hilda Brown; grandson, Caleb Broussard; baby Curry; three sisters; and two brothers. Wynn was retired from Exxon Plastics where he served for 34 years, and also served in the Army. He had a great love for his children and grandchildren and was an amazing Christian husband and father. He loved to trout fish, sightsee, spend time outdoors, LSU football, listen to old Gospel hymns, his three poodles, Buffy, Febe and Pierre, and enjoyed living near the mountains where he felt closer to God. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Friday, Aug. 6, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume at the funeral home chapel Saturday from noon until religious service at 2 p.m., conducted by Darwin Enicks, pastor. Burial in Azalea Rest Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wynn S., Brad, Chance, John S. and Winston Brown, Tyler and Micah Broussard, Travis Hughes and Josh Curry.
