William "Bill" Gary Sailers, of New Orleans, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2010, at age 63. Survived by his wife, Beth Landry; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Sigrid Sailers; daughter and son-in-law, Kendra Sailers-Reiser and Glen Reiser; grandson, Dylan Johnson; father and wife, William Lewis and Lona Sailers; brothers, John and wife Audrey Sailers, and Walter Sailers; sisters, Mary Lee Lavallee, and Melody Kay and husband Patrick Holding; numerous nieces and nephews and extended Landry family. Preceded in death by his mother, Katherine Bail. He was owner of Medium Rare Antiques, a licensed New Orleans Guide, a published crossword puzzle author and an officer for the Krewe of Pontchartrain. A memorial gathering in celebration of Bill's life will be Friday, Sept. 3, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at St. Elizabeth's, 1314 Napoleon Ave., New Orleans. There will be a visitation Saturday, Sept. 4, from 9 a.m. until service at 11:30 a.m. at Ourso Funeral Home, 13533 Airline Highway, Gonzales. Interment in Hope Haven Garden of Memory, Gonzales.
