A resident of Baton Rouge and native of Beirut, Lebanon, she died at 7 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, in Baton Rouge at age 54. She was a professor of political science at Southern University, a noted author and published several articles about political science. She was a mentor and adviser for many of her students. Dr. Sariedinne received her undergraduate degree in political science at the University of Beirut, master's degree from the University of Tennessee and doctorate degree from LSU. Survived by her husband, Nazir Sarieddine; daughter, Diana Sarieddine; four sisters, Mona Nabhan, Amal Khoury, Zeina Hallack and Randa Haidamous; brother, Joseph Eltawil; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visiting at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, 445 Marquette Ave., Wednesday, Sept. 22, from 1 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Charbel Jamhory, celebrant.
