Louise passed away at 5:45 a.m. Friday, April 15, 2011, at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City. She was 73, a native of Columbia, Miss., and a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a secretary in pastoral care at Baton Rouge General Medical Center-Mid City and a former secretary at Grace Baptist Church. She loved music and served as interim music director at Oakcrest and Grace Baptist churches. Visiting at Resthaven Funeral Home, 11817 Jefferson Highway, on Monday, April 18, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting will resume at the funeral home Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. Burial in Resthaven Gardens of Memory. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and Kirk Manuel; sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Genedi Shamburger, John and Dawn Shamburger and David and Kristi Shamburger; grandchildren, Luke Manuel, Hannah Manuel, Michael Flanakin, Jackie Flanakin, Christian Shamburger, Lauren Shamburger, Emma Jo Shamburger, Charles Shamburger, Abigail Shamburger and Wesley Shamburger; and her dog, Goldie. Preceded in death by her husband, Joel "Aubrey" Shamburger; sister, Dora Ann Bailey; and parents, Coy and Cleo Bass. She was a member of Oakcrest Baptist Church and a former member of Weller Avenue and Grace Baptist churches. She was a member of the American Business Women's Association.
