A security guard with Tracer Security, resident and native of Donaldsonville, he died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2011, at home. He was 29. Visiting at Demby & Son Funeral Home, Donaldsonville, Friday, Oct. 14, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Visitation resumes at Greater Mount Pilgrim Baptist Church, Donaldsonville, Saturday, Oct, 15, from 9 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Timothy Campbell, pastor. Interment in Protestant Cemetery, Donaldsonville. His loving mother, Eunice August, died Monday, Oct. 10, 2011. He is survived by his father, Nathan Barnes; a daughter, Hayden Joshua; his stepfather, Louis August Jr.; four brothers, Michael Joshua, of Gonzales, attorney Tavares Walker and his wife, Calinda, of Baton Rouge, Roynel Joshua, of Donaldsonville, and Reginald Barnes, of Belle Rose; a stepbrother, Louis August III, of Donaldsonville; a sister, Denise Barnes, of Belle Rose; a stepsister, Charlotte August, of Donaldsonville; two uncles, Gregory and wife Shavon Walker, of Donaldsonville, and Kevin and wife Tammy Walker, of Baton Rouge; a great-aunt, Leola Herbert and her husband, Joseph, of Baton Rouge; a great-great-aunt, Mary Jones, of Donaldsonville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Eloise Walker and Isabelle Barnes; an aunt, Eldora Thomas; an uncle, Isaac Motton Jr.; great-grandmother, Leola Motton; and a sister, Demetrice Barnes.
