A resident of McManus, she passed away Wednesday, Nov. 16, 2011, at her home. She was 71 and a native of Port Hudson. Visitation at Mercy Funeral Home, 11777 Liberty St., Clinton, on Monday, Nov. 21, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. Religious service at St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church, Ethel, on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Thomas Lewis. Interment in Asphodel Baptist Church Cemetery, Jackson. Survived by her loving husband, Jessie L. Banguel; three daughters, Oreka Kilbourne, of McManus, Gloria and husband Henry Taylor, of Clinton and Amy and husband Demetrius Adams, of Ethel; four sons, Aurcha and wife Debra McKneely, of Ethel, Leon McKneely, of Jackson and Michael and Ricky McKneely, both of McManus; a sister, Dillie Mae Carroll, of Baton Rouge; two brothers, Nelson and Pinkey and wife Essie McKneely, of Sacramento, Calif.; two stepdaughters, Brenda and husband Donald Williams, of Baker and Jessie Perkins, of Zachary; three grandchildren whom she reared Eric, Derrick and Darren McKneely; a devoted sister-in-law, Lovette Williams, of McManus; 21 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.
