A retired cement finisher and a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, he died Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2012, at LSU Earl K. Long Medical Center. He was 81 and a U.S. Army veteran. Visiting at Promise Land Baptist Church, 7234 Plank Road, on Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 8 a.m. until religious service at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Morris Jackson. Interment in Port Hudson National Cemetery. Survived by his wife, Rose Young; three children, Lorraine Young White and husband Forrest White Jr., Baton Rouge, Carolyn Young McQuillan, Keller, Texas, and Ronda L. Miles, Zachary; sister, Mertha Reynolds, Kansas City, Mo.; brother, Clyde Young, Baker; four grandchildren, Matthew A. McQuillan, Bria R. Turner, Ramyre U. Turner and Forrest White III; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Arrangements by A. Wesley Funeral Home, Maringouin.
