Deamer Sr., Leslie A native of Amite and resident of New Orleans, he died as a victim of Hurricane Katrina at his home. Funeral service on Monday, Nov. 21, at 11 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 1565 Curtis St., at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Hilton Rivet, S.J. Survived by a son, Leslie Deamer Jr. of Amite; daughter, Patricia Deamer of Oakland, Calif.; three sisters, Dr. Thelma Deamer of Baton Rouge, Pearl Deamer Cobb of Bunkie and Alice Cooper of Amite; brother, Joseph Deamer Jr. of Lafayette; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Louella Deamer; four sisters and three brothers; son, Tyrone Deamer; and daughter, Pamela Deamer. Richardson Funeral Homes Inc., Amite, is in charge of arrangements.
