Elgin and I coached American Legion Softball and Baseball together for many years. I must say Elgin was the oldest kid on the team. He loved the kids and enjoyed being one himself. He would haul the neighborhood kids back and forth to practice and games. He would take them to Baskin-Robins for ice cream or to McDonalds for a burger. More often than not he paid for it himself. What he did not know about coaching he made up with fun. Elgin was also our next door neighbor and a good one. He also kept all the neighbors cars running. Now that you are in Heaven you can have fun with Lynne. God Bless you and your family
