A barber and a native and resident of Clinton, he passed away Friday, Nov. 30, 2012. He was 51 and a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. Visiting at Richardson Funeral Home, Clinton, on Friday, Dec. 7, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Services at Freeman Baptist church, Ethel, on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 11 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Mac Henry Wallace. Interment in Harris Hill Cemetery, Clinton. Survived by a special friend, Evelyn Chriss; mother, Betty (Isiah) Spears, Baton Rouge; father, Clovis (Ruby) Jarrell, Ethel; daughters, Tianne (Phillip) McCray Newmon , Charona (Darren) McCray Sullivan, Roniesha Spears , Angelica Thompson, Kimberly Duncan and Lashawnda Chriss; sons, Recordo Duncan, Ashton Royal, Kendrick Dunn, and Jarmal Harrell; sisters, Marion White, Gwendolyn Jarrell and Brenda Spears; brothers, Otis White, Derrick Jarrell, Frankie (Sandra) Spears, Gary (Vivian) Spears, and Bishop George (Chantel) Spears; godbrother, Clovis Banks Jr.; and 13 grandchildren. Preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Irene White Walker and Johnny Walker; grandfather, Tom White Sr.; fraternal grandmother, Honore Green; two sisters, Darcell White and Betty Jean Spears; and two brothers, Clovis Patrick White and Gregory Spears. He loved cooking, spending time with family and friends, and riding horses. Roni was the Vice President of the "Last of a Dying Breed" riding club.
