Jessie Harlan, 87, of Hot Springs, AR passed away Sunday, October 6th, 2013. She was born March 7th, 1926 in Shreveport, LA to Jesse Hall and Laura Alice Crouch. She was a very loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother: she enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family. Jessie was an avid reader and traveler. As the Executive Director of the Baton Rouge Rotary Club she traveled extensively. She retired after 20 years with Rotary and then moved to Hot Springs. She was a charter member of First Christian Church in Shreveport. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kalyca Adams; son in laws, Curt Fankhouser and Donnie Summerell; and grandson, Marc Sanders. Cherishing her memory are her two daughters, Kenniann Summerell of Maumelle, and Karolyn Fankhouser of Hot Springs. She is also survived by three grandsons, Billy and Shea Fankhouser and Matt Sanders; one granddaughter, Ashleigh Adams and four great grandchildren, special nieces and nephews, and many lifelong friends.
