George Watson Tebo, Jr. passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2013. He was born in Lake Charles, La., grew up in New Orleans, and resided in Baton Rouge for the past 28 years. He graduated from Christ School, Arden, North Carolina in 1970 and from Washington and Lee University in 1974. He was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and president of the Baton Rouge Area Chapter of the Washington and Lee Alumni Association. Watson was very proud of his distinguished 30 year career in medical sales. For the past 18 years he was dedicated to providing valuable testing services that touched and improved the lives of cancer patients across the southeast. One of his sales directors called him "a true professional, a consultant to his physician customers." He took great pride in providing excellent customer service. Watson was a board member of The Brighton School from 2006 to present, and was instrumental in fundraising for the school efforts. He was a volunteer at SCORE of Baton Rouge and was a proud member of TaxBusters. He also served on the board of the Office of Alcoholic Beverage Control. He will be greatly missed. Watson was the loving husband of Mary Fox Tebo for more than 30 years and was the devoted and loving father of George Watson Tebo, III (Trey) and Katherine Elise Tebo (Katie); and a loving brother to siblings, Balad Wing Tebo, II and Katherine (Lili) Tebo. He is preceded in death by his father George Watson Tebo, Sr. and mother Camille Moss Tebo. Services will be held on Friday, November 1st at Trinity Episcopal Church (3464 Morning Glory Avenue, Baton Rouge) with visitation beginning at 9 am and Funeral Service at 10:00 am with Reverend Canon David Seger officiating. A private interment will follow. Pallbearers are Trey Tebo, Balad Tebo, James Risher, Brett Mason, Brian Waggenspack, and Louis Minsky, M.D. Honorary pallbearers are his longtime friends: Jack Fox, Cory Hickmon, and Richard Curtis.
