Beverley Anne
Aged 77, died peacefully after a long struggle with Parkinson's Disease on Monday April 16, 2018 in Geelong. Born February 7, 1941 in Melbourne, she is survived by her son
Taki, daughter-in-law Lena
and granddaughter Mia. The first of her nine books (Alone) was published in 1980. A recipient of the NSW Premier's Award for literature (Milk, 1983) and short-listed for the Miles Franklin Award (House in the Light, 1995) she was Awarded the Patrick White Award in 2009. She was a long-time resident of Point Lonsdale in Victoria, by the water, which she so loved.

A Memorial Service will be held in Queenscliff at a date to be announced.

To Taki Chris and Mia I am deeply affected shocked and saddened at the news of Beverley's death. She was a dear friend of many years dating back to 1980. A wonderful writer and inspiration. Please accept my deepest sympathies. I will be writing to you shortly.
