Carlotta Buntain Ritter, 66, of Shelbyville, died Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012, at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville.
She was a member of Shelbyville First Baptist Church where she was active in mission work. She had been a volunteer at the Henderson House in Shelbyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Mecia Belle Willard Buntain; sister, Yvonia Belle Buntain and brother, Harold Buntain.
She is survived by her husband of 30 years, William ""Bill"" Ritter, Shelbyville; two sons, Randall Scott Reynolds (Sharon), Lawrenceburg; Bryan C. Reynolds (Marie), Falmouth; two daughters, Teresa Bates (Lynn), Shelbyville; Deborah Scrogham (Garland), Mt. Eden; brothers, Connie Buntain, Anderson County; Herbert Buntain, Jr. (Debbie), Frankfort; sister, Sadie Jane Davis (Allen), Fairview, Ky.; 14 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral services were held Sept. 24 at the Shannon Funeral Home with Dr. Geoffrey McGillen and John Hurt officiating. Burial followed in Grove Hill Cemetery.

She was a retired employee of IBM and a humble member of Anderson Christian Church where she enjoyed participation with the Retired Angels.
She is survived by her son Allen Bruce Smith (Gail) of Lexington; her daughter Betty Sue Osborne (Robert) of Bluffton, S.C.; and a brother R.C. Drury (Jean) of Lawrenceburg.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Tracie Sturgill (Richard) of Paris Ky., Sherri Mosley (Neil) of Kingsport, Tenn.; Shaun Osborne (Jill) of Raleigh, N.C.; and Kellie Fennell (Lex) of Concord, N.C.; and five great grandchildren Bradley Mosley, Rachel Mosley, Kendall Sturgill, Ella Fennell and Grant Fennell. She is also leaving behind a dear friend and sister-in-law, Mable Smith of Lawrenceburg.
Along with her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Rebecca Drury and four siblings, Asa Drury, Amos Drury, Edward Drury and Hazel Wainscott.
Funeral services will be held at Anderson Christian Church on Sept. 29 at 11 a.m. Friends may call on Friday, Sept. 28, from 5-8 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel, 332 South Main St., Lawrenceburg.
