Baker, Sarah Aileen (Catlett)  
Sarah Aileen Catlett Baker, 80, of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at Country Place in Lexington. She was a daughter of the late Hollie C. and Emma Jane Catlett. She was a member of Sand Spring Baptist Church and retired from the Kentucky Department of Transportation. She is survived by her two sons, Larry (Linda) Hawkins, and Rick (Carolee) Hawkins; grandchildren, Jeremy Hawkins, Renasha Sutton, Jaclyn Hawkins, Jennifer Furman, and Eric (Jessie) Furman; great-grandchildren, Sydney Danielle Furman, Christopher Furman, Tyler Hawkins, Ethan Hawkins, and Lance Sutton, and a niece, Peggy Satterly. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in Fox Creek Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 today (Wednesday). Memorial contributions may be made to the Fox Creek Cemetery, C/O Tom Ritchey, 2321 Millcreek Pike, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.

Elizabeth S. "BJ" Campbell, 64, of Shelbyville, died Monday, May 4, 2015. She was a daughter of the late George and Eileen Sims. Memorial services will be private. Newcomer Funeral Home in Louisville was in charge of the arrangements.

Carlton, Marvin  
Marvin Carlton, 93, husband of 66 years of Mary Ann Perry Carlton, passed away Wednesday, May 6, 2015 at his home. Born Dec. 8, 1921 in Anderson County, Kentucky, Marvin was a son of the late Robert Buford and Rosa Lee Champion Carlton. Marvin was a farmer, retired as a security guard for Boulevard Distillery and formerly worked at Seagram's Distillery. He served in the U.S. Army and was a member of the Corinth Christian Church. Besides his wife, Marvin is survived by four children, Mary Jo Houchin (Tommy), Rita Adams (Coleman), Roger Carlton (Judy,) all of Lawrenceburg, and Marvin Lee Carlton (Debbie) of Nebraska; seven grandchildren, Hannah Disponett, Brittany Callan, Meredith Smither, Kelley Puckett, Jaime Carter, Lee and Jesse Carlton; and 15 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlene Ruth Disponett; seven sisters, Marjorie, Mabel, Pauline, Elizabeth, Oneda Carlton, Martha Ann "Annie" Brown, and Shela Rucker; and four brothers, R.B., John Willie, Rex, and Raymond Carlton. Funeral services were Saturday, May 9 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Jerry Perry officiating. Burial followed in Corinth Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass, 663 Teton Trail, Frankfort, KY 40601 or Corinth Cemetery Fund, c/o Larry Peak, 1011 Corinth Road L-burg, KY 40342.

Deacon, Elizabeth Marie (Wells)  
Elizabeth Marie Wells Deacon, 93, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Cecil Maurice Deacon, died Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Hometown Manor in Lawrenceburg. She was born in Washington County to the late Jesse Valindingham and Lelia Arbell Gordon Wells. She was a member of Overland Church of Christ; attended St. Catharine College in Springfield; and was a homemaker. Mrs. Deacon is survived by one daughter, Ann Wells (Dennis) Morgan, Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Roxie (Raymond) Puckett and Lillian Farmer, both of Louisville; three grandchildren, Jessica Rose (Joel) Lavender, Amanda Marie Chambers and Deanna Rae Morgan; six great-grandchildren, Elizabeth and Victoria Lavender, Kennedie and Tucker Chambers, Jadelyn Spivey and Janelle Bain; three sister-in-laws, Phyllis Wells, Juretta Wells and Mary Mayes. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Joseph, Maurice, Daniel, Sonny and Stephen Wells; and four sisters, Mary Gambel, Ruth Carr, Edna Dedman and Naomi Wells. Funeral services were Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Larry Morgan and David Lanius officiating. Burial was in Highview Cemetery. Casket bearers were Tom, Tim, Kevin and Bruce Wells, Lee Puckett and Doug Farmer.

Disponett, Sandra Lee (Sparks)  
Sandra Lee Sparks Disponett, 57, passed away suddenly Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center - E.R. She was the wife of 35 years of Tony Disponett. Born Sept. 22, 1957 in Woodford County, Sandra is a daughter of Bill (Vickie) Sparks of Nicholasville and the late Rose Hood Burkhead. Sandra worked as an associate at the Lawrenceburg Wal-Mart and attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Versailles. She enjoyed working in her flowers and caring for her pets. Besides her husband and father, Sandra is survived by her two sons, Jamey Disponett (Ashley) and Chris Disponett (Maeghan), of Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren, Grace, Ryann, and Ryker Disponett, Kalista Newton, Jared and Hunter Disponett; two sisters, Anneice Haney of Lexington and Billie Rose Sparks of Lawrenceburg; and a half sister, Linda Ashton of Nicholasville. Besides her mother, she was preceded in death by a half brother, Sterling Burkhead Jr. Funeral services were Monday, May 18, 2015 at Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home with Terry Cooper officiating. Burial was in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jamey and Chris Disponett, Glenn and Jason Devine, Jonathan Hudnall, and Van Cao. Contributions are suggested to American Heart Association

Ennis, Shirley Ann (Young) (Death Notice)  
Shirley Ann Young Ennis, 65, died Saturday, May 9, 2015 at the Medical Center, Scottsville, Kentucky. She is a daughter of the late Hayward and Dorothy M. Richardson Young. Shirley is survived by six children, Sherri Morgan, Kathy Pardue, Daniel C. Ennis, Joel Ennis, Toby Ennis and Jerry Ennis. Memorial services will be 10 a.m. Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Ritchie and Peach Funeral Home. Burial of cremains will be in the Mayfield Cemetery, Glasgow, Kentucky. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Blake Hundley, 9, Mt. Eden, died at home on May 15, 2015 surrounded by his family and friends after his long and courageous battle with cancer. Jones III, Rev. George A.  
Rev. George A. Jones III, 56, Shelbyville, died suddenly on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Norton Brownsboro Hospital. A native of Shelbyville, he was a son of Ida Marie Jones and the late George William Jones, Jr. He graduated from Kentucky State University with a B.S. in manufacturing science and graduated from Simmons Bible College with a degree in theology. He was also a journeyman tool and die maker. He was the current pastor of Friendship and Unity Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg and was employed as a career preparation instructor at Whitney M. Young Job Corps Center, where he had served for three years. He previously worked as a tool and die maker at The Budd Company for 14 years, worked in quality control at Leggett & Platt for seven years and was a former car salesman for Oxmoor Toyota. He was a lifelong member, former associate pastor and treasurer of Second Baptist Church in Campbellsburg. He also worked in prison ministry and was a former member of Gideon International. He enjoyed photography and was a handyman, specializing in small appliance repair. He was a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and a former member of the Emmaus community. Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Anna R. Wakefield Jones; one son, De'Paris O. Jones; three sisters, Beverly M. Jones-Lawson, Darlene Jones and Tammie Jones; one brother, Timothy A. Jones and his mother, all of Shelbyville and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 29, 2015 at Clay Street Baptist Church. Rev. E. B. Higgins delivered the eulogy, and burial followed at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Morton-Beckley Funeral Directors.
