Charles Curtis "C.C." Fallis

Charles Curtis "C.C." Fallis, Jr., 83, passed away Friday, April 11, 2014 at his residence. He was born April 20, 1930 in Anderson County to the late Noma Kays and Charles Curtis Fallis.
C.C. retired from Chevron Oil where he worked for 40 years as a route salesman. In the 1950s he worked as a licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer for the former Gordon's Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg. He was a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church, the Fellowship Sunday school class, traveled with the Sand Spring senior adults, and a member of the American Legion Post #34. He was an avid U.K. basketball fan, attended numerous Kentucky boy's high school sweet 16 games, and an avid Cincinnati Reds baseball fan.
C.C. is survived by his wife of 62 years, Hilda Dawson Fallis; a daughter, Ann F. (Gary) Wood of Union, Ky.; five nieces and nephews, Debbie Sutherland, Bobby Wilder, Wayne Wilder, Kim Wilcher, Brad Hoskins; and several other nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Hoskins.
Funeral services were Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Sand Spring Baptist Church with Dr. Mike Hamrick and Bro. Ellery Milburn officiating. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Raymond Freeman, Mark and Matt Birdwhistell, Kevin Satterly, Charles Humston, and Ellery Milburn. Members of the Fellowship Sunday School Class served as honorary bearers.
