Edna Mae Lane Evans

Edna Mae Lane Evans, 90, of Danville, died Friday, Sept. 14, 2012.
Evans was born Dec. 16, 1921, in Bradfordsville, Ky., to the late Lora Mae Preston and Vannie Burl Lane, and was the wife of the late Charles L. Evans, Jr.
She enjoyed going to church and was a faithful member of West End Church of Christ in Danville.
Evans was a seamstress at Palm Beach, and liked to spend time with her family, and cooking meals to take to other families.
Evans is survived by a son, Kenneth Lane Evans and his wife Ova Ann of Lawrenceburg; a daughter, Susie Mae Kelly and her husband Eddie of Danville; five grandchildren, Julie Ann Brothers, Kenneth Irvin Evans, Joe (Robin) Kelly, Todd (Elizabeth) Kelly, and Dustin Kelly; 12 great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Doris Ellen Purdom of Gravel Switch.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by a son, Jimmie Davis Evans; a brother, Mitchell Lee Lane; and two sisters, Mildred Louise Evans and Betty Ann Lamkin.
Funeral service was held Sept. 17 at Preston Pruitt Funeral Home with Bro. Rob Kernodle officiating.
Pallbearers were Julie and Tyler Brothers, Kenneth and Chris Evans, Joe, Todd, Dustin, and Wilson Kelly.
