Gayle Watts Dadisman, 79, widow of John Allen Dadisman, went home to our Heavenly Father after a valiant battle with cancer July 7, 2013.
She was born in Anderson County to the late Rupert M. and Lydia Katherine Franklin Watts.
Gayle is the owner of Dadisman Properties and the first female realtor in Anderson County.
She is a member of First Christian Church and the Fit & Fun Exercise Group.
Gayle is responsible for the reorganization and served as past president of the Democratic Women's Club for many years, and was the recipient of the highest honor given by the State Democratic Women's Club, The Ann Shanks Bourne Award.
She served as head of the Democratic Party in Anderson County for many years.
Previously, Gayle served as secretary of the KY Walking and Riding Horse Associations, and was very active with 4-H and the P.T.A. at the former Alton School.
Gayle is survived by her beloved children, Dana (David) Holt, Doug Dadisman and his special friend Kathy Law, her precious grandchildren, Dylan Holt, Daniel and Levi Dadisman, three nieces and four nephews.
Including her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Milli Hughes, and a brother, Charles Elbert Watts.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 10 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating.
Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday.
Pallbearers will be Doug and Daniel Dadisman, David and Dylan Holt, Mark Stockton and Kent Stevens.
Honorary bearers will be Donna Gash, Wilma Thompson, Nancy Allen, Geraldine Trent, Betty Kirby, Jean Hood, Paula Cardwell, Beverley Stivers, Betty Springate, Jewell Toll and Glenda Cooper.
