Jason Paul DeLong, 31, died Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington.
He is the son of Debra Smith Agee (Richard) of Lawrenceburg and William E. DeLong of Lawrenceburg.
Jason was a 1999 graduate of Anderson Co. High School and a former I.T. Technician for Toyota Tsusho in Georgetown. He was a talented musician playing the lead and bass guitar and piano. He used his talents as a member of the bands Silent Station and Shatter.
Including his parents, Jason is survived by two sisters, Chelsea Agee of Lawrenceburg and Kristen DeLong of Lexington; a brother Jeremy DeLong of Lawrenceburg; a nephew Mason Wilder Alexander; maternal grandparents Paul R. Smith (Patty) of Frankfort; maternal great-grandfather, Duard "Shorty" Smith of Lawrenceburg; an aunt, Paula Jean Smith (Melissa Hance) of Dayton, Ky.; two uncles, Steven DeLong (Lori) of Lawrenceburg and Michael L. DeLong (Alison) of Arkansas.
Jason was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Sandra Warren Smith; maternal great-grandmother, Bessie Snow Smith; paternal grandparents, William L. and Dorothy DeLong; paternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Gilliland.
Funeral services were held Jan. 3 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Ryan Gilbert officiating. Cremation was chosen following services.
Honorary bearers were Jordan Carey, Eddie Shouse, Lee White, Joey Waldridge and Jared Aldridge.
