Rev. Allen Lynn ‘Lynnie’ Rucker

Rev. Allen Lynn "Lynnie" Rucker, 55, of Upton, died Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville after a long illness.
He was a self-employed construction worker. Rucker was also a devoted husband, father, grand father, son and brother. He was also devoted first and foremost to his Jesus and telling others about him. He attended Freedoms Way Church with his bothers and sisters in Christ.
He is the son of the late James Russell Rucker and Hazel Mae Murphy Rucker.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife; Kathy Rucker. two daughters, Lorrie Rucker and Amiee (Jamie) Snyder, both of Upton; two sisters, Mavonia (Ron) Deaton of Sonora and Connie (Mike) Monngey of Munfordville; four brothers, Larry (Brenda)Rucker of Cub Run, Daryl (Carlene) Rucker of Upton, David (Susie) Rucker of Munfordville and Kevin (Tina) Rucker of Clarksville, Tenn.; one granddaughter Ruby Brownfield of Upton; three stepgrandchildren; Tyler Brownfield, Hodgenville; and Colton and Becca Snyder of Upton and a beloved pet, Festus.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. CST on Wednesday, Sept. 11 and from 9-11 a.m. CST on Sept. 12 at Brooks Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Sept. 12 at 11 a.m. CST at Brooks Funeral Home with the Rev. Wally Matooth and the Rev. Billy Curle officiating. Interment will be at Rucker Family Cemetery in Upton.
