Anita Katherine "Kitty" Stratton Lyen, 90, died Jan. 21, 2013, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home.

She was born in Anderson County on Jan. 24, 1922 to the late Thomas C. and Norma Stratton.
She was a retired secretary of the Finance and Administration Dept. of Kentucky State Government. In 1941 she graduated from Lawrenceburg City High School and then attended Whitworth College in Brookhaven, Miss. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Homemakers Club.
Kitty is survived by two daughters, Brenda Lyen and Linda Taylor, both of Frankfort, a granddaughter, Mary Katherine DeBold (Jimmy) of Versailles, two great grandchildren, James Curtis DeBold and Emily Katherine DeBold, and a brother, Viron Stratton (Betty) of Lawrenceburg.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Iris Stratton Willis and a brother Tom Stratton, Jr.
Graveside services were held Jan. 24 at the Lawrenceburg Cemetery pavilion with the Rev. Grant O'Dell officiating.
Pallbearers were James, Jim, and Jason DeBold, Steve Higgins, Scott McCoun, Joe Jackson and Harold Moore.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
