Edna Disponette Davenport, 81, Lawrenceburg, widow of Delbert B. Davenport, died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2012, at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

She was born in Woodford County to the late Richard and Mary Emma Satterly Disponette. She was a bus monitor for the Anderson County Board of Education for 20 years and a homemaker. She was a member of the Sand Spring Baptist Church and the Kentucky Education Association.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Jackie) Davenport, and John (Rebecca) Davenport; a sister, Rosa Lee Hutton, all of Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren, Jerry Davenport, Laura Marcum, Lesley Jones, Lucas Johnson, Devin Davenport, and Jared Davenport; nine great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Including her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Stratton, Joanne Disponette, and a brother, Delbert Disponette.
Funeral services were held Dec. 28 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating. Burial followed in Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Casketbearers were Jerry Davenport, Lucas Johnson, Devin Davenport, Jared Davenport, Jackson Davenport and Jack Grugin. Honorary bearers were past and present employees of the bus garage.
