George Kendall ""Kenny"" Detherage, 60, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at his residence surrounded by family.

He was born in Marion County to the late George Valentine Detherage and Katherine Eloise Abel Detherage of Lawrenceburg.
George was a devoted family man and an avid hunter and gardener.
He is survived by his loving wife, Beverly June Turner Detherage; three sons, George Kendall (Polly) Detherage, Jr., Mayslick, Christopher Paul (Megan) Detherage, Maysville, and Matthew John Will Detherage, Lawrenceburg; two daughters, Susan Renee (Charles) Hicks, Maysville, and Tina Jo (Jerry) Hicks, Brooksville; three brothers, Michael Leo (Lisa) Detherage, Francis Kevin (Karen) Detherage, and Charles Douglas (Marvel) Detherage, all of Lawrenceburg; one sister, Anita Gail (Dan) Bouknight, Edmond, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Kayla Britney Hicks, Tiffany Jo Hicks, Austin Hunter Detherage, Autumn Lynn Detherage, Christopher Scott Detherage, Kyle Holton Detherage, Braxton Chase Hicks, and Isabella Grace Hicks; and several nieces and nephews.
Including his father he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Sara Rebecca Detherage and grandparents Harve and Esma Detherage and Paul and Bernice Abel.
Memorial services will be held Friday, Dec. 6 at 2 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with Bro. Dru Causey and Father John Curtis officiating.
