Linda Dennis Obituary

Linda Carol Wells Dennis, 72, of Lawrenceburg, widow of John Allen Dennis, died Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2017 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Dennis was born in West Liberty to the late Henry and Thelma McKenzie Wells. She was a 1962 graduate of Franklin County High School; retired from Florida Tile; previously worked for the Kentucky Department of Education, and city hall; and most recently worked as secretary at Lawrenceburg Police Department. Linda was a member of First Baptist Church where she was very active in the Sunshine Sunday School Class, Personnel Committee, Greeter, Enrollment Clerk, Sassy Old Souls, D-Group Leader, and former Chair for the Nominating Committee.
Linda is survived by a daughter, Nancy Elizabeth-Ann "Beth" Dennis, Lawrenceburg; brother, Willis Wells, Frankfort; three sisters, Nancy (Bobby) Whitaker, Deborah Bright, both of Frankfort, and Henrietta (Harold) McKinney, West Liberty; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, James L. Wells.
Funeral services were Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 at First Baptist Church. Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiated the service. Burial followed in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation was Thursday at Gash Memorial Chapel.
Pallbearers were her nephews, Henry P. Wells, Bill Bright, Mike Dennis, Brian Dennis, John Ripy Jr., and Silas Dennis. Honorary bearers will be Lawrenceburg Police, Sunshine Sunday School Class, Chris Atkins, Jim Jeffries, Tim Rogers, Willis Wells, Bobby Whitaker, Harold McKinney, John Burton Ripy, Andrew Dennis, and special nephew, Will Bright.
Memorial contributions are suggested to First Baptist Church, 111 N. Main Street, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.
