Robert Burton Morris, 82, died Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

He was born March 7, 1930, in Anderson County as the son of the late Clarence Burton Morris and Willie Nan Nash Morris.
Morris was a retired carpenter for Clark & Son Construction in Frankfort and formerly worked at Lawrenceburg Supply.
He was a member of Lawrenceburg Community Baptist Church and enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and caring for his dog CoCo.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Ida Mae Ritchie Morris; two daughters, Darlene Gay (Donnie) of Ocean View, N.J., and Joani Clark (Steve) of Lawrenceburg; two grandsons, Tony Kinney (Becky) of Lawrenceburg, and Chris Gay of Clermont, N.J., a step great granddaughter, Ashley Thomas, and a sister, Frances Ann Semple of Lawrenceburg.
He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Wayne Morris, a sister, Margaret Wainscott, and four brothers, William T., Clarence, Lucien and Ralph Morris.
Funeral services were held Aug. 17 at Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Bro. Lee Smith and Bro. Steve Broughton officiating. Burial followed in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tony Kinney, Scott McCoun, Bryan Taylor, Ronnie Boggess, Robert Dale Allen and Richard Woodson.
