Rhoda Bell Whitehouse Blakeman, 94, died Sunday, May 18, 2014 at Heritage Hall Care Center.

She was born in Anderson County to the late Curtis and Ada Lou Johnson Whitehouse. She graduated from the University of Louisville and was a retired teacher from Eisenhower Elementary in Louisville. She was a member of Glensboro Baptist Church, the Gideons, and Glensboro Ruritan Club.
Ms. Blakeman is survived by three daughters, Rebecca (Bob) Dunning, Versailles, June (Phil) Myers, Dayton, Ohio, Carol (Charlie) Amos, Louisville; a son, Danny (Mary) Blakeman, Louisville; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mallie Simpson and Mary Thorson, and two brothers, Charles and Manson Whitehouse.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Glensboro Baptist Church with Bro. Glenn Corn officiating. Burial will follow in Best Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Gash Memorial Chapel and after 10 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Casket bearers will be Phillip D. Myers, Joseph Nipp, Jason Nipp, Matt Amos, Phil Myers, and Charlie Amos.
