Virginia Carlin Coke, 92, died Monday, Sept. 24, 2012, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Anderson County as the daughter of the late John Harrison Coke and Rama Morris Coke.
Coke was retired from the federal government; having worked in Washington D.C.; Anchorage, Alaska; Billings, Mont.; and Denver, Colo. She was a member of Lakewood, Colorado Baptist Church.
She is survived by one sister, Juanita Coke Stratton; two nieces, Gigi Moffett (Ben) and Kathleen Cooper (Don); one nephew and her caretakers, Ben F. Stratton (Janie) all of Lawrenceburg; and several great nieces and nephews.
Including her parents, she is preceded in death by two sisters, Evelyn Coke and Dorothy Coke Gesuero.
Coke will be cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
