Gertie Mae Wells Satterly, 79, widow of Evel Ray Satterly, died Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home.

Born in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Erastus and Bessie Walls Wells.
She was a former lunchroom manager at Saffell Street Elementary School for 31 years and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Satterly is survived by a daughter Patricia Satterly Poole (John Graves) of Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren Shannon Carpenter (Chip) and Derek Poole; two great grandchildren Alex Carpenter and Kerigan Poole; a brother Cletus Wells (Betty) all of Lawrenceburg.
Including her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters, Velma, Sally, and Ruby Drury, Dorothy Goins, Onita McGaughey, Clinton, Clifton, Orbrey, and Curtis Wells.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Dec. 20 at 1 p.m. at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home with Dr. Robert Ehr and Bro. Don Wells officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 19 from 5-8 p.m.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie, Ricky, Donald, and Glenn Wells, Scott and Darrell Satterly.
Honorary bearers will be Stanley Goldsmith, Ron Whitaker, and Kevin Riley.
