Buddy Roscoe Helton, 82, passed away Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at the V.A. Medical Center-Cooper Drive, Lexington. He was the husband of the late Paulette Sayre Helton.
Buddy was born July 10, 1931, in Crossville, Tenn., to the late David Franklin and Liza Jane Conley Helton. He served in the U.S. Army Special Forces during the Korean Conflict and was an employee of National Distillery for ten years, Central Screw, and Frankfort Habilitation Center for 10 years.
He is survived by three children, Allen Rocky (Barbara) Helton of Oneida, Tenn., Teresa Gail (Roger) Riddle of Frankfort, and Renee Heightchew of Shelbyville; five grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Brian Kirk Helton, one grandson, two sisters, and three brothers.
Buddy chose to have no public services. Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
