Dorothy J. "Dot" Richards, 80, Seymour, died Thursday, Dec. 6, at her residence.
She was born Oct. 18, 1932, Seymour, to the late daughter of Charles N. and Agnes (Scheurich) Grein.
Mrs. Richards was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. She was a homemaker and had previously worked at Indiana Public Service Company and the Indiana Telephone Company. She was a member of the American Legion Post 89 Ladies Auxiliary. She was very crafty and enjoyed painting and working with ceramics. However, her greatest joy came from being involved with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her children, Mike A. (Kim) Richards and Tamera S. Richards; grandchildren, Michael A. Richards, Jr., Rachael D. Bell, and Chelsea N. Richards; great-grandchildren, Vaden Richards and Zaide Richards; brother, Lynn F. Grein; sisters, Mary Lou (Lewis) Galati, Norma Trimpe, and Doris (Paul) Jewett.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Charles N. Grein, Jr.; and sisters, Helen Marble and Bette Boutte.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at Voss Chapel, Seymour, with Deacon Mike East officiating.
Friends may call from 2 until 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 9, and from 9:30 a.m. Monday until time of service.
