Edmond E. "Ed" Wayman, 92, of Brownstown, passed away at 4:45 am, Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.
Mr. Wayman was a United States Army
veteran of WWII
and a member of the American Legion. He had been a partner in the Wayman Brothers Construction Company and at one time had been Superintendent of Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown, Indiana. He was a member of the Brownstown United Methodist Church.
Born October 24, 1920 in Jackson County, he was a son of Carl E. and Hazel D. (Fountain) Wayman. On November 16, 1938 he married Edith Dawson and she survives.
Other survivors include two daughters: Sue (Eugene) Peters and Joetta J. Clampitt; two brothers: Bob (Phyllis) Wayman and Joe (Connie) Wayman; and two grandchildren (Larry (Kelly) Peters & Kim (Ron) Toppe). Four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Ardith Wayman.
A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m., Friday, April 5, 2013 at the Brownstown United Methodist Church; Pastor Damon Soper will officiate.
Family and friends may call at the Church that morning from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. A private burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown with military rites conducted at the grave.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Brownstown United Methodist Church or to Hoosier Christian Village Auxiliary.
