Festus Davidson

Festus Davidson, 81, Brownstown, died at 8:50 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, at Seymour Crossing, Seymour.
He was born July 8, 1931 in Clay County, Ky. to the late Alfred Flemon and Alabama Baker Davidson. On Aug. 29, 1953 he married the former Elinor Willits, and she survives.
Mr. Davidson was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown. He was in the U.S. Navy from Dec. 17, 1954 to Jan. 16, 1957 and was retired welfare directory, probation officer, and also worked in security. Mr. Davidson was a past member of the VFW. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Other survivors include two sons; Steven Davidson of Seymour and Michael Davidson of Louisville, Ky.; one daughter, Deidra Davidson of West Liberty, Ohio; two grandchildren, Amanda Davidson of Brownstown and Kimberly Davidson of West Liberty, Ohio; three great-grandchildre; and close family friend, Rance Moore of Sellersburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 10, at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Brownstown, with Pastor Jeffrey Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. Monday until time of service at the church.
Memorials may be given to the family.
