Lizzie Bee Berry, 80, Norman, died at 4:17 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013 at IU Health/Bedford Hospital.
She was born June 28, 1930 in Hotspot, Ky., the daughter of James and Rushie Sizemore Lumpford. On Aug. 22, 1945, she married Cyril Berry, Sr. in Letcher County, Kentucky. He survives.
Mrs. Berry was a homemaker. She belonged to Valley Home Old Regular Baptist Church.
Other survivors include her sons: Cyril (Christine) Berry, Jr., Mich.; James Edward (Jane) Berry, Miss. and Jimmy L. Berry, Ind; daughters: Linda Fay (Fritz) Daniels, Mich.; and Cora Lucas, Indiana; a brother, Clyde Lumpford, Calif.; a sister, Cora Smith, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers: Logan, Burel, Esau and Mitchel; and three sisters: Lula Caudell, Matilda Jaynes and Carrie Bates.
Mrs. Berry was a member of the Brownstown Senior Citizens Center and Norman Conservation Club.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19 at Valley Home Old Regular Baptist Church, Freetown, with Arnold Bates officiating. Burial will follow at Valley Home Cemetery, Freetown.
Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 18 at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Brownstown, and from 9:30 a.m. until time of the service Tuesday at the church.
Memorial donations may be given to Senior Citizens Center of Brownstown.
