Russell Leon Hall

Russell Leon Hall, 80, Seymour, died at 12:40 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, at Lutheran Community Home, Seymour.
He was born May 27, 1932 in Seymour to the late Donald and Pearl (Koester) Hall. On Nov. 28, 1952 he married the former Helen Ella Hansen in Vallonia, and she precedes him in death.
Mr. Hall was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, Dudleytown, and was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the Korean War. He was a lifelong farmer and worked for Amoco Chemicals for 20 years. He was then a truck driver for AMPI and Foremost Dairies for 10 years. He loved fishing and to tell stories.
Survivors include daughter, Rhonda (George) Claycamp; son, Mark (Glenda) Hall; six grandchildren, Justin Hall, Derek (LeAna) Hall, Jennifer (Nathan) Eckelmlan, Matthew Claycamp, Jamie Claycamp, and Christy (Jim) Williams; four great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Brayden Eckelman, Sophia and Grayson Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; and son, Randall James Hall.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, at Emanuel Lutheran Church, Dudleytown, with Rev. Scott Kozisek officiating. Burial will follow in Emanuel Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. Saturday until time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Emanuel Lutheran Church or Lutheran Community Home.
Burkholder Funeral Chapel, Seymour, is in charge of arrangements.
