Janice (Wiley) Wagner, 76, of Bedford, passed away on Saturday at Indiana University Hospice in Bloomington, Indiana.
She was born in Hutchinson, KS. She moved to Boulder, CO, and then later to Bedford, IN.
Jan attended Colorado University and later graduated with High Distinction from IU-PU at Indianapolis with a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from IU. She loved riding, adventure, music, travel, reading, fishing, raising chickens, and helping her husband with the cattle. She was active in the Norman Station Conservation Club and various other community organizations.
Jan is survived by her husband, David Wagner of Bedford; sister, Margaret Wiley of Bloomington; four daughters, Jenny (Uhlir) McGlinchey of Bedford; Kris (Uhlir) Alan and husband, Davin, and their children, Aaron, Colleen (Alan) Wallert, and Kathryn of Austin, MN; Jayne Uhlir and husband, David Aull, and their children, Katie Sturges and James Sturges of Denver, CO; and Mary Todd (Uhlir) Haight, and husband, Norman, and their children, Mara and Ethan of Stevenson, WA.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie (Latimer) Wiley, and father, Edward Wiley, and brother, Scott Wiley.
A visitation will be held at Ferguson-Lee Funeral Home, 818 – 18th Street, Bedford, IN, on Thursday, March 28th from 4 – 7 p.m., with a memorial service at 7:00 p.m.
The family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the American Red Cross, or blood bank of choice, in lieu of flowers.
