Mrs. Alice N. Miracle, 88, of Seymour, passed away Sunday, Feb. 9, 2014 at Lutheran Community Home.

Born Sept. 9, 1925, in Incline, Ky., she was the daughter of Garfield and Dona (Turner) Nolan.
On Dec. 16, 1942 in Harlan, Ky., she married Earl D. Miracle who survives.
Alice was a member of First Baptist Church, Seymour. She was retired from Wal-Mart having held sales and office positions there; as well as previously being employed in sales and the office at J.C. Penney, Jay's Market and the G. C. Murphy Company.
Early in World War II Alice worked in Ypsilanti, Mich., building B-24 Bombers and had also been employed at the Charleston Powder Plant.
Besides her husband of 71 years, she is survived by her children Brenda G. (Ron) Byrley, Delores F. (Gerald) Ault; grandchildren Amy M. Hancock, Jeremy D. (Emma) Ault, Nathan G. (Jenny) Ault; great grandchildren Arlo Ault, Wiley Ault, Amber Ault, Aiden Ault; brother Turner (Edwynna) Nolan; and sisters Louise Tolliver and Jean (Orville) Howard.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and sisters Delores Nolan, Cora Lee Tolliver, Marie Cooper, and Mae Huckleberry.
Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel on Thursday, Feb. 13, at 10 a.m. with Rev. Larry Tingle officiating. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 12 from 4 to 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time of service.
