Mrs. Delmo Marie Montgomery, 102, lifelong resident of Reddington, passed away Feb. 23, 2014 at The Seymour Crossing, where she resided since January 2000.

Born Jan. 14, 1912, in Jackson County, she was the daughter of Raymond C. and Luella E. (Becker) Welliver. On March 11, 1933, in Indianapolis, she married Zona R. Montgomery who preceded her in death Feb. 5, 2004.
Mrs. Montgomery was the oldest member of the Reddington Christian Church. She was a 1930 graduate of Shields High School, she completed her education at the Indiana Business College of Columbus, Ind.
She owned and operated Montgomery Dairy in Reddington with her husband from 1932 until 1960 at which time they sold their cows and distributed Borden's milk products until 1965.
After her retirement she enjoyed arts and crafts with special interest in crocheting and painting. She and her husband founded the Horse and Pony 4H Club of Jackson County. She and her husband were members of Knob Lake Campers Club, they enjoyed camping and travel.
She is survived by her daughter, Doris E. Baurle; four grandchildren, Dwayne (Marie) Baurle of North Vernon, Darnell (Clifton) Dukes, Deneen (Mark) Lubker, and Deryk (Jill) Baurle; 10 great grandchildren Ryan (Amy), David (Catherine), Justin Baurle, Erin (Kory) White, Kristian Doboze, Maci and Landen Lubker, Megan, Evan, and Madalyn Baurle; one great great grandson and three step great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Kenneth K. Welliver, Kermit R. Welliver; and son-in-law, Darrell E. Baurle.
Funeral services will be held at Voss Chapel on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Bill Weaver and Rev. Scott Brown officiating.
Burial will take place at Reddington Cemetery.
Family and friends may call at Voss Chapel Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 4 to 8 p.m., and one hour prior to services Wednesday.
Memorials may be written to Reddington Christian Church Van Fund, Reddington Cemetery Association, or Southern Indiana Center for the Arts.
