Donald "Don" Gilpin, 64, Seymour, died Saturday, Nov. 11, at his residence.
Survivors include his wife, the former Tomalene Kay Mikel; mother, Priscilla (Mills) Brown; stepfather, Ray Brown; children, Cheyenne (Paul Sullivan) Gilpin and Tammy (Rob) Loyd; stepchildren, Kim (Brian) Cox and Gary Weller; grandchildren, Jonathan Gilpin and Laura Turner; step-grandchildren, Jeremiah Silence, Stacey Silence, Cassondra Weller, Zachary Weller, Lainey Weller, Matt Cox, and Jessica Loyd; six step-great-grandchildren; half-brothers, Gary Brown, Mike Brown, and Bradley Gilpin; and sister, Alma Crockett.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, at Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour, with full military graveside rites conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled Veterans 47, Korean and Vietnam Veterans, all of Seymour.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, and from noon Thursday until time of service.
