Juanita Joan Hehman, 79, Brownstown, died at 8:10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, at the Schneck Medical Center in Seymour. She had been ill for 9 years.

She was born April 29, 1933 in Salem to the late Russell and Ruby Zaring Royse. She had lived in Jackson County since 1953. On Feb. 14, 1953 she married Robert D. Hehman in Brownstown, and he survives.
Mrs. Hehman was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church. She graduated from Salem High School in 1951. She was a telephone operator for Indiana Telephone and a paper carrier for the Tribune for 22 years. She was an avid NASCAR and local race fan. She was also a very loving and devoted grandmother.
Other survivors include two sons, Roger D. (Peggy) Hehman and Jeffrey A. (Sandy) Hehman both of Brownstown; a sister, Wilma Wheeler of Vallonia; and grandchildren, Ryan and Lindsay Hehman, Melanie Hehman, Jason and Carla Hehman, Jasmine Hehman and (Chris Burton), and Jamison Hehman; and numerous great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Jack Frederick Hehman and her parents.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 25, at Johnson Funeral Home with the Rev. Jeff Patterson officiating. Burial will take place in the St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Brownstown.
Friends may call from 4 until 8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 24, and from 1 p.m. Sunday until time of service.
Memorial contributions can be given to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or to the Hoosier Christian Village.
