Elaine Long, 74, Brownstown, died at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, at Hoosier Christian Village, Brownstown. She was a member of Faith Southern Baptist Church and was a retired owner of Long's Pizza Shop in Brownstown. She had been a volunteer at Hoosier Christian Village and enjoyed spending time with her family, grandchildren, and friends. She loved and appreciated all animals. She was born in 1936 to the late Floyd and Luella Lusk. In 1954 she married Billy Long, and he survives. Other survivors include three children, Connie (Danny) Morris, Tony Long, and Tim Long; a sister, Diane (Randall) Rodgers; a brother, Thomas (Mary) Lusk; four grandchildren, Danielle (Griff) Quirk, Joshua Morris, Erica Long, and Erin Long, and two great-grandchildren, Hayleigh and Brooklyn. She was preceded in death by a sister, Jane Glover. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 19, at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home in Brownstown with Greg Underwood officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 until 8 p.m. Friday, June 18, and Saturday from 9 a.m. until time of the service. Memorials may be designated for the Jackson County Humane Society or Schneck Medical Foundation Hospice.
