Lola Marguerite Riddick, 97, Seymour, died Sunday, April 24, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.

She was born June 7, 1913 in Smith Center, Kan. to the late Dr. Joshua and Martha Bates Borton. On July 10, 1943, she married Major John Frank Riddick in Cottonwood Falls, Kan., and he preceded her in death on Dec. 25, 1991.
Mrs. Riddick was a housewife and worked in clothing sales. She was a member of the First Methodist of Hinesville, Ga.
Survivors include her sister, Imogene Freiburghouse of Mechanicsville, Va.; a niece, Pamela (Richard) Winegarden of Seymour and several other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her stepmother and brother-in-law.
Mrs. Riddick will be cremated, and a service will be held at a later date at the Oglethorpe Cemetery in Hinesville, Ga.
Voss Funeral Service and Tri-County Crematory, Seymour, are in charge of arrangements.
