DEVAUL, CHERYL - Albuquerque  
ALBUQUERQUE, NM — Cheryl Nation DeVaul, 61, loved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, great aunt and friend died July 2, 2015 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Cheryl was born July 24, 1953 in Bellevue Hospital, Bellevue, Ohio, to Clark James and Lois Annette Newman Nation. Cheryl was graduated from Toledo University with a degree in business education and from Kent State University with a MBA. Cheryl moved around in her working career from Toledo, Ohio, to Richmond, Virginia, to New Britain, Connecticut, to Cleveland, Ohio, and to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Her last position was Chief Human Resources Officer for Loveless Respiratory Research Institute in Albuquerque. Throughout her life, Cheryl maintained an interest in traveling with trips to the Caribbean, Peru, India and Brazil. She loved walking in the parks of the states she lived in and visited. Her last trip included walking in parks around Eugene, Oregon, where her son, Tom, makes his home. Cheryl enjoyed visits with her many friends in the cities she called home. Cheryl is mourned by her mother, Annette Nation; her son, Thomas Wilson DeVaul; her brother, Thomas Clark (Donna Jones) Nation; her sister, Linda (Bill) Garlic; her nieces, Michelle (Mark) McClanan and Lucy Fricker; nephews, William Garlic, Michael Nation, Adam Nation and Charles Fricker, great nephews, Connor and Ian McClanan; and her many friends. Cheryl was preceded in death by father, Clark Nation, and sister, Martha Ann Nation. A memorial service will be held in the fall in Novelty, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cascades Raptor Center in Eugene, Oregon or the Whippet Rescue and Placement ( WRAP.COM ).

DICK, DOROTHY - Bellevue  
BELLEVUE — Dorothy M. Dick, 100, of Bellevue, Ohio, died Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Willows. She was born July 7, 1915 in Fremont, Ohio, to the late Chester A. and Irene (Giebel) Culbert. Mrs. Dick was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Bellevue. She had been a member of the Altar Guild there and also a member of the Garden Club. She graduated from Fremont Ross High School and was a homemaker. In June 1940, she married Thomas Hillhouse. He preceded her in death in 1968. She later married John F. Dick. He preceded her in death in 1987. Survivors include her children: Thomas (Sue) Hillhouse of Ridgway, Colorado; and Diane Hillhouse-Lambert of Winter Garden, Florida; grandchildren: Timothy (Clare) Hillhouse of Chapel Hill, NC; John (Andrea) Hillhouse of Newbury Port, MA; Michael Lambert of Miami, FL; and Kara Lambert of Vero Beach, FL; great-grandchildren: Robert, Avery, Jane, Frank, Henry, Austin and Morgan; sister, Paula (James) Jennings of Niceville, FL; and many special nieces and nephews and their families. Her funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest Street, Bellevue. Rev. Juli Lejman-Guy officiated and burial will followed in Bellevue City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church or Stein Hospice.

Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, July 30, 2015 at St. John's Lutheran Church, 209 Southwest Street, Bellevue. Rev. Juli Lejman-Guy will officiate and burial will follow in Bellevue City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to St. John's Lutheran Church or Stein Hospice.
