CASTALIA - Marjorie E. (Bruckner) Bodey, 87, of Castalia, died Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013, in Stein Hospice Center, Sandusky.
She was born March 17, 1926, in Bellevue, and graduated from Bellevue High School in 1944. Marge was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Castalia, and was very active with the Women of Church. She also was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, former member of Castalia Lions Auxiliary, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Margaretta Athletic Booster Club. She enjoyed spending her winters in Florida, and knitting, crocheting, golfing and bowling.
Marge is survived by two daughters, Kathy (David) Keegan, of Vickery, and Claudia Bodey, of Sandusky; two sons, Mark (Sherry) Bodey, of Castalia, and C. James (Tracey) Bodey, of Castalia; eight grandchildren, Jill (Mark Chambers) Gaietto, Julie (Jim) Hall, Cheralyn Bodey, Andra (Bryan) Clark, Jason Bodey, Kisha (AJ) Genter, Kalie Bodey, and Gage Bodey; 13 great- grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Claude Bodey Jr.; parents, Milton and Alwina (Bender) Bruckner; and one brother, Milton Bruckner.
Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 14, in the Ransom Funeral Home, 610 S. Washington St., Castalia, where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, with the Rev. Dane Meuschke officiating. Burial will in Castalia Cemetery.
